The University of Saint Martin is in a "modified blockade "after two attempted kidnappings near campus, according to Lacey police. Police say the suspect is armed.
The attempted auto theft occurred near 3rd Avenue SE and College Street SE in the last hour. Police say the suspect is a 30-year-old man, five feet 8 inches tall, who wears a Nike sweatshirt and has a tattoo on his neck.
Police say that people should call 911 if the suspect is seen.
