MONACO (AP) – The IAAF says that Stanford University in California will be the only American stop in the track and field diamond league circuit this season.
The Prefontaine Classic will move from Eugene, Oregon, this season because Hayward Field is being renovated to host the 2021 World Championships.
The IAAF says Stanford's Cobb Track and Angell Field will present the Pre on June 30.
The organizers made "an extensive search in Oregon and on the West Coast" to find a replacement.
The Diamond League series of 14 matches begins on May 3 in Doha, Qatar, home of this year's world championship.
