State universities announce mandatory vaccination rule to return to campus


All returning students, faculty, and staff for classes and on-campus activities at San Diego State University, University of California San Diego, California State University San Marcos, and all other California State University schools California and the University of California should be vaccinated against COVID-19, it was announced.

This announcement came despite the fact that only 0.2% of COVID-19 deaths nationwide have been under 25 years. Deaths that occur at the age 55 and older account for 93% of COVID-19 deaths nationwide, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Both university systems are expected to allow exemptions based on medical or religious reasons.
