Jan. February 14, 2022 — DENTON — Texas Woman's University has been recognized for its diversity, equity and inclusion activities by the Greater Houston Chamber of Commerce for Women.
The chamber will officially present its Award to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion 2021 to the university at the organization's annual luncheon on February 16 in Houston. TWU was one of two entities selected for the award.
Over the past two years, Texas Woman's has expanded its DEI efforts by establishing a council of faculty and staff focused on fostering a diverse and inclusive campus culture , and has facilitated the establishment of various affinity groups to better represent groups from different backgrounds.
In addition, the university increased the number of professional development opportunities available to faculty on topics related to curriculum design. of inclusive studies.
