Because the staff was assigned to an implementation of HR and Payroll Systems , an exciting and immediate opportunity to join our Payroll team at the University of Surrey emerged. We are looking to recruit an experienced interim payroll administrator to work as part of a proactive team, managing the provision of the function to ensure that a high-quality payroll and employment tax service is delivered throughout the University.

Our Payroll team is part of the University's HR Services and, on average, we pay 5,000 records per month. By administering a team of 6 people, you will be responsible for the payroll function and employment taxes, which will guarantee a timely, accurate and client-centered payroll service that complies with legal legislation and internal policies and processes.

To succeed in this position, you will need extensive experience in a similar role and have worked ideally within the higher education sector, with experience in the operation of the Nero Resourcelink system. He will also have excellent communication skills, a solid knowledge of UK payroll legislation and experience in evaluating and operating the employment situation.

His knowledge of all aspects of salary and labor taxes will ensure that he can act as an expert on the subject for colleagues and throughout the University, interpreting and reconciling complex financial data with his solid analytical skills.
