Willow reaches a milestone when CU wipes out Panthers


CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Lauren Willow buried her 1,000th death and the Lady Jackets opened the G-MAC home and hours by defeating Kentucky Wesleyan at the Callan Athletic Center.

Cedarville, 2-3 overall, scored 25-16, 25-13, 25-18 in front of 1,050 fans.

Liene Miller led a balanced attack with 12 kills, while Willow and Riley Hensley struck eight each.

Haley Goff prepared 25 assists, Emily Ward had ten attacks, and Talia Felton served three aces.

Willow and her younger sister Hannah Willow rejected three blocks each.

Stinger Notes:

  • There were only four leadership changes in the entire party.
  • The Lady Jackets rallied from a 5-1 deficit to start the third set.
  • Twelve different CU players saw action.
  • The Jackets recorded a team attack percentage of .277.
  • Cedarville leads the all-time series, 13-7.
  • After hosting Trevecca to complete the weekend, the Jackets play the next ten away games.
