Volleyball adds two for the signature class of 2022

MONMOUTH, Ore. – Western Oregon University volleyball team was able to add two recruits to the signing class of 2022 with Chloe Asciutto and Ella Nordquist joining the program as announced by interim head coach Traci Stephenson .

"We hope that each of them will join the program and we know that their strengths, both on and off the pitch, will be impactful and positive. Both come from strong club programs and high schools and understand the importance of working as a team and supporting each other to find true success. We couldn't be more excited to have these two young women and we can't wait to see their contributions to the Wolves and Western Oregon University, "said Stephenson .

She played on the varsity team each of the past three years, winning the student-athlete award each season and took home All-League First Team in his senior year. Asciutto was a part of several successful teams with Camas placing first in the league in his last three seasons and qualified for the Nationals in his sophomore and junior seasons with your club team. </span></p><p

He spent his first two seasons in high school competing at Valhalla High School in San Diego before moving to West Linn to finish his high school career. Nordquist won a varsity card all four seasons and also competed in water polo playing as a goalkeeper. He helped Valhalla to first place in the league in his second season, winning the San Diego Section D2 CIF Finals Sportsmanship Award and the Valhalla High School Outstanding Underclassman Award. During his time at West Linn, Nordquist helped the team win the Three Rivers League title and later won the Oregon State Championship 6A. Nordquist was included in the AVP All-America list. Last season, he posted 172 kills, 58 blocks, 29 service aces and 54 attacks with more than 51 percent. Early in her preparatory career, Nordquist was named the MVP of her freshman water polo team. </span> <span
