Facts and Figures on the Estimated 6,150 Incoming Freshmen



Since the University of South Carolina gives welcoming about 6,150 freshmen to campus,
here are some details about incoming class, student life, and moving in. Note: Numbers
related to incoming freshman class are preliminary and do not include numbers
of new students transferring or participating in Gamecock Gateway.

Student Services

9,372 – projected number of students living this year in college housing (including
Park Place and some locations in Greek Village, YOUnion and 650 Lincoln)

includes soccer, basketball and baseball)

73,643 – number of hours of volunteer service by fraternity and sorority members in the community

3 – Number of days Student Success Center staff will offer Gamecock Greeting Crew in
