University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardeners seeks volunteers

Master gardeners deliver science-based practices to communities. As volunteers, expert gardeners learn not only from scientific research, but from each other and from the communities they serve, according to a press release.

Expert gardeners focus on local food and sustainability and teach practices to restore native Minnesota grasslands and protect water, according to the release.

During 2020, Crow Wing County Master Gardeners partnered with local organizations to provide hundreds of pounds of fresh vegetables to those in need in the community.

Master gardeners come from all ages and backgrounds.
