The sign at the entrance to Williams Baptist University now reflects the transition of the school from a university to a university.
According to a press release from the school, two signs have been installed in recent days to reflect the change.
The statement indicates that an illuminated sign was completed along Highway 67 at Fulbright Avenue in Walnut Ridge.
"After all these months of planning, the new signals make it seem very real to us that Williams is now a university," said Brett Cooper, vice president of institutional advancement. "The excitement among our students and friends has been the most rewarding part of this phase, with photos on the social networks of the new signals that illuminate the Internet."
The UMC announced in September 2017 that it would begin the transition from university to university, with the official change this summer.
