Ohio State University now has its own bacon vending machine.
The machine is located at the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences on the campus of the university in Columbus, and offers strips of cooked bacon and bacon bits for $ 1.
The Ohio Pork Board sponsored the machine and received donations of bacon from Smithfield, Hormel and Sugardale.
The proceeds of the machine will go to the Ohio State Meat Science program. Program members will be responsible for the maintenance of the machine.
The machine will remain on campus until December 13.
