A graduate engineering student was found dead on the campus of Stanford University on Monday, prompting a police response in one of the school's research facilities.
The student was not identified, nor the circumstances of the death. But the school said there is no threat to the public.
Jennifer Widom, the dean of the school's engineering department, offered her condolences to the students' families and urged students to "take care of themselves and those around them."

The Stanford Daily reported that the student was a man and was found at the Stanford Nanofabrication Plant. The family was not notified of the death as of Monday night. Suicide is suspected, according to the report.
