MORGANTOWN – University Town Center in Granville is gaining another restaurant and entertainment venue. Smokin 'Jack will open its second location in Monongalia County.
The company signed an agreement with Wal-Mart and will be located in the parking lot of the super store, in front of Premier Chevy, said J.D. Mann, CEO of Smokin 'Jack's.
Construction is expected to be completed in August 2019, he said.
"We have been embraced by the Morgantown metropolitan area, and our new location in Granville will take our socks off everyone," said Mann.
The restaurant offers a variety of smokehouse foods, including fans' favorite fresh chicken wings, Mann said, adding that ribs and steaks are also basic. Smokin 'Jack's also offers more than 25 homemade sauces.
And, as Mann said, it's a family environment where live music acts can be presented on a regular basis.
Smokin 'Jack's has served his favorites in Preston County for more than 30 years at his location in Reedsville.
In July, Smokin 'Jack's moved to the Schmitt's Saloon site on Cheat Road.
"Smokin 'Jack is about having a good time in a great environment," said Mann.
Smokin 'Jack has plans for more locations and businesses in the area, Mann said. It will release more details in the new year.
