SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault that they say occurred on campus Wednesday night authorities said.
A A University of Utah health worker reported the assault to police shortly after midnight Thursday. The victim was on his way to meet someone on campus when they said two men approached them from behind a dumpster and sexually assaulted them, according to a university security alert issued early Thursday.
The reported assault occurred between 8:30 and 9:30 pm, the alert said.
The person who reported the assault is not affiliated with the university, but the University's security crisis support specialists are working with them.
Other information, including a suspicious description and the exact location, were not available. The university expects to have an update before noon on Thursday.
