Saint Joseph University (USJ) will celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on 1 February 2021, from 12:00 to 13:00 with "His dream had a plan: the economic policies of Martin Luther King", a virtual program that commemorates the King's Day holiday. This year's show will explore King's lesser-known economic justice movement, The Poor People's Campaign. The University is honored to welcome Connecticut State Treasurer Shawn Wooden as keynote speaker and Reuben McDaniel, President and CEO of the NY State Dormitory Authority (DASNY), who will join Treasurer Wooden , USJ President Rhona Free, and USJ Director of Diversity. and Inclusion Rayna Dyton-White under discussion.

"This year, our annual celebration of the life of Dr. King highlights his plan to implement structural economic changes that give people of all backgrounds more opportunities for success," said USJ President Rhona Free. "We welcome the community to join us and learn more so that their plans continue to advance."
