One person dies in a fire on University Parkway Business: NorthEscambia.com

One person died Monday night in a commercial fire at an Escambia County business.

Firefighters responded to MedPro Solutions at 8201 University Parkway around 7:30 p.m., hitting the fire from three alarms to find flames visible from the roof of the office building.

A person who was trapped inside the building was found dead. His identity has not yet been revealed.

The Florida State Fire Marshal is investigating. Firefighters from Escambia Fire Rescue, Santa Rosa County, and the United States Navy responded.

MedPro Solutions is located between the Olive Branch Health and Rehabilitation Center and Olive Baptist Church, near West Florida Hospital.
