What subjects do you teach? Third grade math, social studies, science, writing.

What is the best part of your work? Children make every day fun and worthwhile. We laugh a lot.

What is the most challenging part of your job? I find it difficult to keep up with new technologies, but it's interesting.

What secret of success would you share with the students? Follow the Golden Rule.

Your students would be surprised to know that you … You fought sumo once.

What is your hidden talent? I know sign language and I use it often in our class.

If you were not a teacher, would you be doing what? I think I would like to enjoy leading workshops focused on mindfulness.

After a long day at work, what is the best way to relax? I like to spend time with my family, practice yoga, read and draw.

Rob is in his 21 years of teaching, 16 years in MMS, the first 12 as intervention specialist and the last four as our physical education teacher. Rob integrates physical education, physical conditioning, nutrition and technology into the learning experiences of his students. Each year, he has developed his curriculum to better serve our students and also creates opportunities for our students through the organization of our school-wide Fitness Day and the annual Olympic Day. Rob also runs our intramural program throughout the school year and continues to help our students grow as they train football, basketball and athletics at the middle school level.
