Fox scores 24 while the Army defends itself from Boston University 86-82

Jordan Fox used 6 of 8 triples to score 24 points, and Army won its second straight game, beating Boston University 86-82 on Wednesday night.

Tommy Funk scored 16 points with six assists per block and one steal for the Army (6-9, 1-1 Patriot League) and Matt Wilson scored 12 and he took seven tablets. The Black Knights went 11 of 26 from behind the goal. Boston U was 7 out of 18 in 3-pointers.

Jonas Harper scored 15 points, going 3-for-3 from distance, to lead the Terriers (8-7, 1-1). His 3 with 40.1 seconds remaining made it 81-78 and Tyler Scanlon hit a jumper to go back 84-82 with 11 seconds left, but Funk sank two free throws for the Army.

The army had a 9-point lead at the start of the second half, but the Terriers used a push of 8-3 to tie 47-47 in a Scanlon tray with 13:47 remaining. Max Mahoney put Boston ahead 51-50 two minutes later.

The Army He recaptured the lead, 58-53, with a career of 8-2 and maintained a small lead in the last nine minutes.
