Enthusiasm is being generated for the World University Summer Games in Chengdu 2021 from the International Federation of University Sports (FISU ) with a series of promotional activities in schools.
With the theme "Love Chengdu, Embrace the Games", these events were held in elementary, middle and high school institutions.
Part of this initiative consisted of teaching students about the history of the world FISU University Games.
One speaker presented the Games and used data sets to show the importance of the Games to China and Chengdu.
Details of the motto, emblem and mascot, as well as venues The Games were also discussed.
Several sports stars, including 2009 men's college 110-meter hurdles champion Yin Jing, were in attendance.
Jiang Wenwen and Jiang Wenwen Tingting, world university champions in synchronized swimming, also spoke.
Olympic and world clay pigeon shooting champion Zhang Shan also shared inspiring stories about how she became a gold medalist.
The Chinese women's volleyball team has been one of the most successful college teams in China. it has won six editions of the Games since 1981 and members of that team were also present at the speeches.
The Chengdu 2021 Executive Committee will continue to hold promotional events in the city's schools prior to the competition.
Chengdu 2021 is currently scheduled to take place from August 18 to 29, 2021.
