Baseball welcomes Mike Garza to coaching staff

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers head baseball coach Steve Owens welcomes Mike Garza to the staff as an assistant coach. Primarily focused on the day-to-day development of infielders, Garza will help with hitters and base runners. He will also be responsible for video analysis, defensive lineups, scouting reports, and assisting with recruiting efforts. Additionally, Garza will run all camps and clinics throughout the year.

"Mike is an excellent coach who brings a lot of energy and experience to our program," said Owens. "He was an outstanding collegiate and professional player and is equally talented and motivated to succeed as a teacher.
