Atlanta Opera will begin outdoor performances in October at Oglethorpe University

Live performances will be back at Brookhaven with Atlanta Opera's open-air opera performances scheduled to begin in October.

To adhere to COVID-19 safety precautions, Atlanta Opera will present the "Molly Blank Big Tent Series," featuring six productions performed in a large outdoor tent.

The series will begin with "Pagliacci" by Ruggero Leoncavallo and "The Kaiser of Atlantis" by Viktor Ullman, which run from October 22 to November 14 at Oglethorpe University Hermance Stadium at 4462 Peachtree Road. There will be nine screenings of each opera.

Ruggero Leoncavallo's “Pagliacci” and Viktor Ullman's “The Kaiser of Atlantis” will run from October 22 to November 14 as part of Atlanta Opera's “Molly Blank Big Tent Series”.

The marquee seats 240 spectators and has no walls to promote air flow. Tickets and more information are here.

Tickets must be purchased as "capsules", which can accommodate up to four people. Prices range from $ 149 to $ 399. The "pods" will be spaced from one another under the tent.

Face masks and temperature controls will be required. The opera asks the parties to meet at the time indicated on their ticket to limit the size of the lines. If someone at the party does not pass the temperature control, the opera will reschedule the entrance of that party.
