CORAL GABLES, Fla. – A student at the University of Miami was arrested on Thursday, accused of using stolen credit card numbers to pay his registration.

Zhaosen Zhang, 22, an international student from China, faces charges of felony theft and identity theft.

According to the Miami Herald, the university began investigating Zhang after a woman claimed she used her credit card to pay more than $ 6,000 in tuition. She said she did not know him or authorize him to use his credit card.

The private university in Coral Gables estimates that tuition for the 2019-20 academic year costs more than $ 50,000.
